Sanctuary of the Sacred Heart, Paray-le-Monial is in Paray-le-Monial, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France and is an international Catholic pilgrimage destination associated with the Sacred Heart devotion and reported visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.. Margaret Mary Alacoque entered the Visitation monastery at Paray-le-Monial in 1671 and made religious profession in 1672.

The sanctuary dates three principal reported visions of Christ to the period from late December 1673 to June 1675. These experiences became central to the modern Catholic devotion to the Sacred Heart, whose liturgical feast later spread through the Church. The sanctuary teaches, on the basis of Margaret Mary Alacoque’s testimony, that Christ appeared to her and revealed a message centred on his Sacred Heart and Eucharistic devotion.
